Something about this question just seems fake to me….maybe it's the ridiculous scale this person is acting on.

U still need license and must follow the state regs. Net or hook.

It's not a good idea to eat that much fish. Mercury could build up in your system and make you sick.

Also, fishing with a net or rod and reel isn't easy, unless you break the rules. If you get caught, the fines you would pay could have bought you a lifetime of salmon.

Evidently your not aware of the problems that are occurrin' with the Salmon ie., their numbers depleting!!!!!!! No, I do not apologize for my use of exclamation points because you sir/mam' have touched on a very sensitive issue, not only with myself but, thousands of others that are tryin' ta' keep this magnificent species alive…

Sorry, my friend- the scale of fishing you are proposing (a huge net to catch hundreds) falls under the category of commercial fishing.

Sport fishing only allows the harvest of a few fish per person. Here in Oregon, you must have a license and salmon tag to catch ANY salmon- No such thing as fishing for salmon without paying. EVERYONE has to pay, so you will too.

Netting salmon on the scale you suggest is not allowed as a sport fishing method- and commercial fishermen usually have to catch them on lines in the ocean, netting isn't allowed as it causes overfishing, and there is too much "By-catch" other fish caught unintentionally.

Don't know if you have been following the news, but there is a commercial fishing closure off Oregon and California right now because of endangered runs. Fishing methods such as you are suggesting are specifically excluded, because they contribute to this problem.

Sorry, but you'll have to buy your salmon like everyone else, and if you do fish for them, you'll have to pay for the privilege like the rest of us, and be happy to catch your limit of a few, as we do.

Good Luck.
